Mr and Mrs Plummer:

Just over a year ago I had to surrender my driving licence due to a medical condition. My wife does not drive, so when I was given an appointment at Lincoln Hospital I contacted PALS at Pilgrim Hospital who gave me Boston Community Transport’s details.

Our driver lives nearby and took us for that appointment. It was a great relief to be with someone who knew the Hospital and it greatly reduced the stress of the visit.

We initially thought the service was only for medical or dental appointments, but we were pleased to find out we could use it for other appointments and shopping trips.

Over the past year, we have been very grateful for this – sometimes calling on the service at short notice, but always be accommodated.

We have also been able to take two short breaks at Thorsby Hall and Nidd Hall. Being transported door to door meant that we were able to make the most of our time there, which would not have been possible if we had to rely on public transport.

Our driver was always on time for every journey that we made and is a safe, competent and steady driver.

I have now regained my licence, but if my circumstances should ever change I know that we would not hesitate to use your service again.

Thanking you.

Mr and Mrs Plummer.

Ian (Crossroads Lunch Club Coordinator):

I trust you are all well and enjoying the late summer sun!

I am afraid that with your brilliant help and support the Lunch Club continues to grow and flourish and I am afraid I have 3 new names for you. However, they do come from the same source and area so I hope that helps

Hope you can cope with these new ones. You shouldn’t be so efficient and helpful!

Orchard Health Group (Kirton):

Good afternoon

Thank you. Jenny has been brilliant!

Kind regards,

(This trip was a complex job, where Jenny (one of our drivers) had to go back and forth to the Health Group several times to pick up and take home customers. Jenny enjoyed the trips and is doing it again.)

“I was unable to get out and meet my friends or visit my sister until I heard of Boston Community Transport, the drivers are very friendly and always help with my shopping.”
