We rely solely on the good will, hard work and reliability of volunteers to ensure we provide this essential community transport service.
To develop and expand our essential service we continually require:

  • Administrators/Booking Clerks to answer the telephone, take the bookings and ensure our customers are looked after, and arrange their transport.

  • Car Drivers who are also car owners, and use their own car to provide the transport service. They receive a set 45p per mile for each journey to cover their expenses.

  • Event and Fundraising Organisers, become one of our BCT Champions and Supporters who enjoy organising events to raise funds with their families, friends, neighbours, relatives, work colleagues or through their social events and networking, to ensure our essential service is continually funded.

  • Personal Companions who accompany, assist, and stay with you at your hospital appointments, doctors, social events etc. and ensure you receive the support and help from door to door.

  • Become a Trustee and be involved with the corporate governance, assist the charity with its policy and decision making, direction, procedures, structure, operation and development. Your valuable knowledge, experience, skills and abilities will be greatly received, useful, and make a difference.
