How to become a member

Member customers pay 60p per mile for each journey, of which the volunteer driver keeps 45p for their expenses and 15p per mile goes to the Boston Community Transport Charity. There is a minimum charge of £5 for journeys 9 miles and under.

The charge starts and finishes at the driver’s residence. We will always try to book the driver closest to your home. The driver will wait for you if you require the return journey.

After your first journey we will invite you to become a member of the scheme for an annual fee of £12 which covers your household and contributes towards our operating costs.

A minimum of 72 hours’ notice is required to arrange a journey, however in an emergency please call and we will do our very best to help you.

To become a member and to book your journey and transport, please telephone 01205 360183. The office is open from 8.45am till 4.30pm Monday to Friday, there is also a 24-hour answerphone.

All of our Volunteer Drivers have to go through rigid police and DBS checks, they all have full driving licences and insurance to ensure your safety.

All of our Volunteer Drivers are Dementia friendly trained.

We are not a taxi service – but a community transport scheme.
